Bitfold R&D sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Łódź, implemented the project entitled “Bitfold – an innovative hardware wallet for private keys in blockchain technology and other applications of asymmetric cryptography”, from 1st of January 2021 to 31st of December 2023.
The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020, Priority Axis 1 Support for R&D activities of enterprises, Measure 1.1.1 R&D Projects of enterprises by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) as part of the competition 1/1.1.1/2020 Szybka Ścieżka 1_2020.

Project goal: Developing a globally innovative hardware wallet for private keys in blockchain technology and other applications of asymmetric cryptography.
Bitfold is intended to be a standalone mobile device with a dedicated operating system and software, enabling the secure storage of asymmetric private keys and signing transactions. It combines the highest security and maximum convenience. Bitfold aims to provide user-friendly and fully secure (cyber-attack-resistant) storage and use of private keys for signing (authorizing) transactions, including cryptocurrency transactions (mainly Bitcoin and Ethereum) and electronic authorization of digital identity. The product will be an innovation on an international scale.
